Winter is here, and once again warnings are going out about the spread of the covid-19 virus – along with the flu and RSV, or respiratory syncytial virus. To minimize the uptick, the U.S. government is restarting a program it canceled on Sept. 2, 2022, once again offering free rapid home antigen tests to every U.S. household. This is the fourth round of free tests available; orders will be shipped the week of December 19, according to the government website.
As before, it is extremely easy to place your order. You do not need to submit a credit card or other financial information.
And as before, if you have private health insurance, you can get reimbursed for up to eight exams per month; free tests are also available for Medicare and Medicaid recipients. You can check the United States Department of Health and Human Services site for more information.
