NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) –BTIG, LLC announced today that John Agnew, Drew Hall and
Evan Jones, CFA joined the company as part of the BTIG Fixed Income Credit Group. Mr. Agnew, Mr. Hall and Mr. Jones will be based in New York and will report to Drew doscher and Darren Haines, Co-Heads
of the BTIG Fixed Income Credit Group.
“This is an incredibly active time in the fixed income lending space,” said Mr. Doscher. “We are rapidly expanding our lending platform by recruiting leading and seasoned sales and negotiation talent. BTIG also plans to capitalize on a new generation of sales professionals who move on from the strategy and research side of the business, and who have in-depth industry knowledge and market insight.
Mr. Agnew joins BTIG as Managing Director of Fixed Income Credit Trading. He will provide senior leadership to the company’s trading desk, executing trades in various high yield securities. Prior to BTIG, Mr. Agnew was Senior Managing Director, High Yield Securities at Guggenheim Partners. Previously, he was co-founder and Senior Managing Director of Summit Securities Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Agnew held several senior high yield securities trading positions at BNP Paribas, Fleet Securities, Schroders, Nomura and Dean Witter Reynolds.
Mr. Hall joins BTIG as Managing Director of Fixed Income Credit Sales. Prior to BTIG, he was Managing Director, High Yield Securities at Guggenheim Partners. Mr. Hall spent more than ten years as Managing Director of the Distressed High Yield Bonds and Loans group at Jefferies. Earlier in his career, he held similar positions at Miller Tabak Roberts, Fleet Securities and Citibank.
Mr. Jones joins BTIG as Managing Director of Fixed Income Credit Strategy, focused on high yield and convertible bonds. Prior to BTIG, he was Senior Vice President and Credit Analyst at Jefferies, specializing in capital structure opportunities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Jones held similar positions at CIBC, ABN Amro and Bank of America.
